Like most people on the internet, I’m a total hermit. I’d much rather have a cosy night in than a wild night out. So when Tessuti said they were sending me a little something for a cosy night in, I was definitely excited! Fresh bedding, fresh PJs and a mystery black box; let’s delve in to find the secrets to a perfect cosy night in!
Tessuti are the super stylish arm of JD, stocking brands like Barbour, Vivienne Westwood and Michael Kors. Weirdly just before they emailed I’d been on their website looking for Christmas gifts for my mum. It must have been fate ;)!
What’s in the box?
Tons of facemasks
You can’t have a night in without them, can you?
I’m definitely saving some of these for Christmas eve! There’s nothing like a facemask to start off the perfect cosy night in. I absolutely love these masks, particularly so in winter. My skin always dries up in the wind & rain and it’s not even that cold outside yet! I always opt for 7th Heaven. They last a lot longer than the fresh Lush masks and they’re vegan, what’s not to love?
The softest Barbour scarf ever
I’m a real scarf person. The best thing about this scarf is that I actually met a woman recently who lives nearby, who bought her french bulldog a Barbour jacket. Now I feel like I match her dog. I’m aware how much I sound like a crazy dog lady saying this – but that’s just me!
I know what you might be thinking – a scarf for a cosy night in? Well, you’re forgetting the midnight Tesco snack runs that everyone is guilty of. There’s no Deliveroo for me, I’ll be braving the cold weather for Doritos and dips like the average Joe I am.
Vivienne Westwood notepad
I’m such a stationary hoarder so this was much appreciated. I’m going to keep this for an extra special occasion. However, it did remind me of the sleepovers I used to have with my friends in highschool. We never created a burn book, but we used to have this little diary with a classic 90’s magnetic lock. We used it to play S*M*A*S*H and rate our crushes, but I think I’ll use this notepad for much more important things!
I actually find writing by hand so therapeutic. Perhaps since I work in an office, I’ve attached some sort of negative energy to keyboards! Sometimes it’s just much nicer to let the words roll out by hand.
I always avoided Tangle Teezers. I have HUGE hair and I just assumed they wouldn’t work – but they do. They work SO well! Why did no body tell me how good these things are?
I don’t know about you, but I feel most relaxed when my hair is freshly washed and put up in a bun out of the way. Battling knots won’t stop me now I’ve got one of these bad boys! Tangle Teezer – where have you been all my life?
Bee Good products
The box featured quite a few Bee Good products, so I shared them with my flatmate. The lip balms are awesome, but the cleansing water takes the cake for me!
My skin really suffers in winter and I actually find that cleansing waters can often take away too much moisture. However, the Bee Good Honey Water & Mint cleanser made my skin super smooth and gave me the perfect base for my foundation. I love the feeling when your skin is super soft and your makeup just glides on perfectly! I’d highly recommend this cleanser and will definitely be repurchasing this little god send. In fact, it might deserve a stand alone post because I’ve been waxing lyrical about it for a few days now!
You can’t beat a Lipsly can you? If you don’t have one of these at the bottom of your handbag, what’s the point in even carrying a bag?
A pink parcel
Which is seriously the coolest thing ever btw. It’s one of those ‘time of the month’ subscription boxes. The ones that send you tampons and chocolate to help you through what tends to be the worst week of the month. This was such a cool treat – I actually feel like setting up a subscription because I was really impressed. The box included skin treats, eye gel, Cuppanaut Tea and the most delicious raw cacoa chocolate bar.
You can’t go wrong with shower gels can you? They make the perfect Christmas gift and they always get used up! When it comes to cosy nights in, sometimes I just can’t be bothered having a bath. I know that sounds crazy cause you tend to have a whole night to yourself! If I’m planning a cosy night in I’ll usually have a Netflix binge and quite frankly I’d rather have a quick (but still luxe) shower.
