If you follow my instagram you’ll know I’ve been trying out these two treats. They’re from a British based company called Duck & Dry. In the lil green number we have Instant TLC and the pink one on the left is Blow Dry in a Bottle. Spoiler alert, I’ve got a favourite!
Duck & Dry products are packed full of natural goodies. Unlike most hair products around these days, they focus on active ingredients and essential oils. After claiming the throne for offering the ‘finest blow drys and updos in London’, the team decided to offer a little salon luxury at home.
Blow Dry in a Bottle*
I have to start with a confession, I only use heat products when I’m going all out! My hair is so long that styling takes a decade and curls seem to drop after about 5 minutes. When I first heard about Blow Dry in a Bottle I obviously had my initial doubts. That said, I roped my flatmate in to try the product on her much more manageable hair to make it a fair trial.
The formula is a bit peculiar, it doesn’t feel like a crispy hairspray when it’s in your hair but it works in a similar way. I definitely noticed more volume, as did my flatmate who has short hair. My ends curled easier and the definition definitely lasted longer than most, but not all night I must say. No hard feelings, my hair is just a monster. My flatmate with shorter hair definitely had better luck!
Instant TLC*
I’m not exaggerating when I write this – my hair has never felt better. Once upon a time I loved the Aussie 3 minute miracle, but Duck & Dry Instant TLC has blown it out of the water. I first used this whilst drying my hair naturally and was surprised to find there was no sticky residue. I often find that many leave-in products don’t work as well without heat, but this spritz did the job!
After trying the product when naturally drying my hair, I decided to turn up the heat. As mentioned, I rarely use heat products on my hair these days due to time and damage. That said, after using the leave-in conditioner with my hair dryer it felt so healthy! In the morning I had no tangles. Brushing my hair was a breeze and my ponytail was sleek and smooth all day.
I’m definitely bought into the brand with these results and I will be eagerly awaiting the arrival of their shampoo, which is yet to launch! I can see myself purchasing the TLC conditioner again and whilst the Blow Dry in a Bottle wasn’t right for me, it definitely gave my flatmate with shorter hair great results. So if you’re having a mad week and you’re in need of some hair therapy, I’d definitely recommend these two products!
The products from Duck And Dry seems like really good hair products, I am in need of a little TLC. Thank your for sharing, I enjoyed the review x
It has been so long since ive had a good and proper blow dry, I love the sound of a blow dry in a bottle and these sound like great products, but I can see why they didnt work for you x
I need the blow dry in a bottle for my hair because it is in dire need of a revamp. Love the sound of this .
Lovely review. I love supporting British brands.
I’ve never heard of Duck and Dry but the TLC conditioner sounds incredible and something I need to try ASAP! I love the Aussie 3 minute miracle and if it’s better than that then I definitely need to get my hands on this stuff! My hair is really straight and of a medium thickness so curls don’t stay in all day long unless I use a serious amount of product, so I’d like to see of the blow dry in a bottle could do some magic in my hair! Great review and I’ll be on the look out for these products!
Great post Jessica! The blow dry in a bottle sounds right up my street! X
I love the little bottles they look gorgeous, I have tried the Aussie 3 minute miracle before and anything which is as good or even better than that I obviously need to try. I like smaller brands because they care more about their customers 🙂 x
I’ve never heard of Duck And Dry, they do sound like good products. My hair is very thick so styling can be a nightmare for me x

Hannah I’m the same! My hair is so unmanagable but the Instant TLC definitely made it much more smooth and sleek. I’d definitely recommend it for your hair if it’s anything like mine! I haven’t had it cut in sooooo long so it’s quite damaged I must admit. I’m pretty terrified of going to get my hair cut though :(!
These sound amazing! I really need to get my hands on them :))
And the packaging is very pretty too!
I’ve not heard about Duck and Dry products before, they sounds really good! Will have to give the Blow Dry in a Bottle a go! xo
I’ve heard mixed reviews about Duck & Dry before so it’s great to have another pair of heads to have reviewed them. A lot of people have said that sometimes after a whole day their hair becomes rather dirty very quickly! I think the bottles look super cute though!

Oh really? Not sure how conditioner could make your hair dirty but it definitely didn’t happen to me :). Maybe they put too much product in? I find that cause my hair is too long that it can often get dry fast, so I can get away with having quite a bit of product in my hair.
OK I have very flat hair, think I need to try the blow dry in a bottle to give it some life.
I’ve heard of things similar to this before and haven’t got round to trying them out!
I’ve never heard of this brand before but the Instant TLC products sounds exactly what my poor hair needs right now! Constant straightening and dying has left it a bit dry and frizzy.

they sound like really intriguing products! I’ll have to do some googling to check if they are cruelty free and might have to give them a go then
