There’s nothing like moving home to give you the illusion of a new start in life. Nothing has dramatically changed, I’m just resting my head in a new apartment.
But it feels so good.
A while ago I wrote about renting in your 20’s and how you have to put up with a lot of bullshit from neighbors, landlords and sometimes flatmates. Anyone who follows me on Twitter will have known that I wasn’t having the best time in the building I previously lived in. I argued with noisey neighbors, was approached by creepy people in the lift and didn’t gel with my new flatmate (although she was lovely, we were just too different and had different work patterns).
So I downsized. A smaller room with a cute balcony to watch Manchester traffic go by. I’m still sharing and I’m still in Manchester city center; but I’m in a better environment.
With this ‘fresh start’ I decided it was time to stop being such a depressing prick, or at least try anyway. So with that said here’s all the things I’m going to try and do to make myself normal again:
– Start eating meals at home again
– Actually leave my bedroom and sit in the living room
– Join the gym again
– Start saving again after forking out deposit fees for moving
And start work on Youtube PROPERLY.
Here’s me trying to be Casey Niestat. Enjoy!
It’s always good to get a change of scenery. Good luck in your new home!

Thank you :)!
I think a change of scenery is just what I needed!
Good luck in your new home, there is nothing worse than being unhappy where you live x
I have always stated that if you don’t feel good in one place, change it. I don’t see myself sharing a house with anyone, I prefer the pay more and have my own flat. It’s such a huge difference and it makes you feel so much better being able to do whatever you want whenever you want without having a constant fear that you will disturb someone else.
Moving can be stressful. All the best for your new home.
oh see I so wish my teen daughter would stop sitting alone in her bedroom and come and join in with the family – good luck in your new home
Sometimes we need a fresh start. Good luck with your new place! 🙂
Sometimes u need a fresh start renting can be such a pain in the bum and moving stressful. I wish u loads of luck in your new home
Moving can be a very stressful experience. I’d get signed up to a gym soon so you can start training and enjoy the happy hormones released during exercise it will make you feel much better x
I moved out last year and it was the best feeling ever, changing places can be stressful but this sounds like it was for the best! x
I completely get what you are getting at, living somewhere you don’t feel welcome is the worst I should know. Good luck with your move x
Awww congrats and hope things will be better for you in this apartment and get to gel with neighbours and flatmates. After I finished uni I shared three apartments before I gave up and found one I could afford alone and it was best move ever.
Congrats on your new place, hopefully you’ll feel happier there! x
Hope you get settled soon – Joining the gym and eating meals at hope are the top two that will help 🙂 x
Good luck with your move honey! Wishing you settled vibes and a happy new home!
Congrats on the move! When your home life is stressful it can definitely leave you feeling depressed.
Good luck with your move! Those are some awesome goals you’ve set for yourself as well 🙂
You can do all this if you put your mind to it and I am sure you are already doing them now. All the best with these goals, having your own flat will be awesome.
Good luck with the move. Hope you get settled quickly.
Good luck in your new place. Hope you’ll be much happier there
